In infancy and childhood, a Protruding Belly Button may be caused by an umbilical hernia. Umbilical hernias often cause no problems and usually resolve by themselves in time. These hernias are caused by an opening in the abdominal wall. In some children, this opening does not close until they reach ten years old. Umbilical Hernias may also be the reason why a Protruding Belly Button remains throughout life.
What is that on this child's head? What about the bulge bt the stomach? Please explain what this is showing.
